Hi Jen,
ReplyDeleteI am on my way to submit an LMIA application for nanny. I came across this wonderful article of yours. Would you be kind enough to advise me on a couple of questions as I don't want to take any risk with LMIA.
1. What is the employment duration rational : I am doing it for 2 years for now but am not sure but could be the best answer. I was going to write up that we don't have any extended family around to help so we need someone to look after our son when we're at work. This is the real reason for us to hire a nanny. But I am not sure if it answers the question in a correct manner. Please advise.
2. They ask if offer of employment requires to speak in another language other than English/French. This one is tricky for me. As we speak Punjabi at home so did mention in the advertisement that speaking Punjabi would be an asset but it was not advertised as a requirement. So you think I should check this box or not.
Thank you so very much in advance.
